Kanthanpara Waterfalls

 Kanthanpara Falls is located about 8 km from Meppadi in Wayanad. From Meppadi, travel 5 km on Gudalur Ooty highway and travel 3 km inland to reach Kanthanpara. The distance to here is about 20 km from Kalpetta. Kanthanpara Falls is a must-see when visiting Wayanad. Not many tourists visit this waterfall, and its surroundings are very beautiful. There is a facility for people to bathe here, like a swimming pool prepared by nature itself. The height of this waterfall is about 30 meters. The entry fee is Rs 40 for adults and Rs 20 for children. Entry is from 9 am to 4.30 pm.

There is a place like a small viewpoint as soon as you get the ticket. From this viewpoint, one can reach the waterfall after about a hundred meters. There are beautiful seats on the banks of the stone path leading to the falls where you can sit and enjoy the beauty of the scenery. After the stone path there is a bridge from where we can see the waterfall. After that you have to go down small steps to reach the base of the falls. Kanthanpara is one of the must-see places for those who live in Wayanad and come to Wayanad.
